What do you look out for when analyzing video commercials?

1) Colour
a. Are the colours loud, bright and bold?
b. Are the colours dark and dull?
c. How does the colour of the background, title, slogan, characters affect the mood created? i.e. bright colours usually create a happy mood while darker colours are generally more serious.

2) Size
a. Is the positioning of objects, actors, and text within the frame of a video meant to achieve a particular effect? Explain.

3) Creative language
a. Is there dialogue in the commercial?
b. How is the dialogue engaging, interesting or funny?
c. Is the title (For a movie or the name of a product) prominently featured? Is the text easy to read?
d. When do the title and slogan usually appear? Why?
e. Do you think this video commercial is persuasive? Will you buy the product? Why?
f. What are the other information present in the video commercial which will affect your purchasing decision?

4) Other techniques
a. What do the expressions or body language of the characters reveal?
b. Is any information withheld from you? Are some details left out intentionally?

    a.yes . without colours , the whole video will be plain and boring.

    c.If the video is dark and dull , it means dark and scary.

    1a)yes it is bright and bold .
    1b)no . it is not dull and dark .
    1c) the colours are bright and bold like orange, red & white. especially orange which is representing M1 itself. And the character is wearing white which is also representing the M1 logo.

    2a) the character is place in the center as its the main character, to make it outstanding.

    3a) Yes.
    3b) Its interesting & funny but not clear.
    3c) Yes. no .
    3d) At the end of the commercial,
    3e) We think yes, Its funny and interesting,
    3f) The free IDD calls to over 15 countries.

    4a) He's expression is funny which make people want to see more & will make us laugh.
    4b) Is there any terms & condition and where is the other 15 countries.

  4. 1a)The colours are bright, loud and bold.
    1b)The colours are also dark and dull.
    1c)The dull colours affect the customers' character and mood who must be gangsters. The bright colours affect the shops background too.
    2)Yes. As the actors are promoting the products in the advertisement. They are also funny. By this, it can attract the viewers in buying the drink.
    3a) Yes.
    3b)It is funny. Entertainable.
    3c) Yes. It is easily able to be read.
    3d) The starting and ending. As to make the viewers know whats the title of the product.
    3e)Yes. It is persuasive and i would buy it. Cause it makes the viewers more eager to want to know what it tastes like.
    3f)That even people who are scary wants to buy it.
    4a) The actors is very fierce and scary and lead people to have a impression of robbery.

    -The colours are all mixed together as it represents the drink whatever and anything. The colours are bright as the drink colour is bright too.
    b. Are the colours dark and dull?
    -The colour of one customer is dull and dark which makes him looks like a robber or gangster.
    c. How does the colour of the background, title, slogan, characters affect the mood created? i.e. bright colours usually create a happy mood while darker colours are generally more serious.
    -Background colour is bright and the colour of the whatever and anything is Highlighted with the represented colours.
    2) Size
    a. Is the positioning of objects, actors, and text within the frame of a video meant to achieve a particular effect? Explain.
    -The actor are suppose to achieve scared and confused effect.The objects are there to represent every action the actors do and also make the audiences confused.
    3) Creative language
    a. Is there dialogue in the commercial?
    -Only English.
    b. How is the dialogue engaging, interesting or funny?
    - NIL
    c. Is the title (For a movie or the name of a product) prominently featured? Is the text easy to read?
    -Yes,the text is easy to read as it is big.
    d. When do the title and slogan usually appear? Why?
    -The title and slogan appeared after the video or commercial ended.
    e. Do you think this video commercial is persuasive? Will you buy the product? Why?
    No. As it is not acting to the point but just confusing and making the audience laugh.
    f. What are the other information present in the video commercial which will affect your purchasing decision?
    -“Anything taste for any thirst.”
