Title : Survey shows family comes first on Singaporeans' list of priorities

This news article highlights two key pieces of information:

“six in 10 Singaporeans said they do not spend enough time with their families, with one in three saying they spend less than five hours a week with their families.”

“Nine in 10 Singaporeans polled said they would like to spend more time with their families.”

This means that Singaporeans do value their family and want to spend more time with them but the next news article tell us a different story.

Even though the divorce rates is lower in Singapore, but the trend is worrying. We should do our part to help Singpore promote the importance of family.

The Question is: What can we do? What is the most effective way to promote the importance of family?

Your Solution:

By choosing the appropriate genre (advertisement, drama or music video) for your video, produce a not more than 5 minute video that highlights the value of family and how one should appreciate one’s family.

Look at the videos produced to promote the importance of family to gain some inspiration on how to produce such videos.

    Actually we can improve it by in the proposal of the marrige,it should list"we should be together forever till we dead and whoever break the promise,should compensate a amount of $200,000!!!"

    It is a good solution to promote the video as it actually show how important a family is. It can also improve the family bonding. Examples, we could spent some times with our family members to improve our family bonding.

    To promote the importance of family is by giving them some money if they manage to be together for at least 5 years or above and giving them a fine if they divorced and the amount should at least be $350,000.I f they insist on that the goverment should not treat them this way then they should give a very good and strong explanation on why they wanted a divorced.

    i feel through this pbl, even though we are doing just for our marks, this can also teach us on the importance of cherishing our family members.even though when a marriage is being seperated,and the spouse has to give money,what is thew use of getting married then?i think that singaporeans should take a marriage seriously.

    We can write a contract that every married couple must agree with.The contract can be like an insurance,the couple can choose how much they wanted to pay each year and they still stay married after certain years e.g.30 years they can claim a large amount of money from the insurance.But if they they will not be able to claim any of their money back.But anyway, i think that the best way the promote the important of family is to create commercial.For example,the third one mentioned above in the question is a great example.When my friend and i were watching this video we were so touch that we cried!
